Officers were dispatched to the park for reports of shots fired in the parking lot at 5:47 p.m.
Everyone involved with the shooting fled the scene prior to the police arriving.
The man who was shot has been indentified as Luis J. Rodrigues.
He drove himself to Penn State Holy Spirit Medical Center with non-life threatening gun shot wounds shortly after police arrived at the shooting location.
This was a targeted shooting and there is no threat to the general public, according to police.
